Refund, Cancellation, & Replacement Policy

Last Updated: September 2026
Every offering at Blossom & Brine™—from heritage food preservation instruction to custom woodwork and hand-stitched goods—involves dedicated time, fresh ingredients, or custom manual labor. This policy sets clear expectations for cancellations, returns, and damaged shipments across our operations.
1. Consumables & Food Products
Due to food safety regulations, hygiene requirements, and the nature of small-batch cottage food production:
Final Sale: All sales of jarred goods, fruit spreads, syrups, herbal preparations, teas, and edible items are final and non-returnable once shipped or handed to you at an event booth.
Safety Notice: If a food product arrives with a broken seal or damaged jar, do not taste, consume, or handle the contents. Follow the Damaged in Transit procedure in Section 4 immediately.
2. Virtual Classes & Instant Emergency Troubleshooting
Instant Emergency Help ($15 for 15 Minutes): Our "Emergency Canning Help Desk" provides immediate, real-time troubleshooting conducted strictly via phone call or direct text message. Because technician time and advice are delivered instantly on demand, the $15 fee is final and non-refundable once your consultation begins or text message assistance is initiated.
Virtual Classes & Workshops: Registration fees for scheduled live virtual classes and video workshops are non-refundable. Booking reserves an instructional roster spot and directly funds the fresh demonstration produce and materials purchased in advance.
Class Ticket Transfers: If you cannot attend a scheduled virtual workshop, you may transfer your registration to another person. Email [email protected] at least 24 hours prior to class time with the substitute attendee’s full name and email address.
Service Disruptions: Participants are responsible for their own home telephone or internet connectivity. If an outage or technical failure on our end prevents us from answering or completing your 15-minute emergency call or scheduled class, we will promptly reconnect, reschedule, or issue a full refund.
3. Digital Downloads & Guides
All sales of digital downloads, PDF canning guides, printable charts, and digital publications are final and non-refundable once download delivery is complete. If a file is corrupted, fails to open, or you experience technical issues downloading it, email [email protected] and we will send a fresh file or direct download link.
4. Handcrafted Physical Goods & Shipping Claims
Handmade Character: Handcrafted wooden tools and sewn textiles feature natural grain variations, knots, individual character marks, and hand-stitching. These are intentional marks of authentic craftsmanship, not defects.
Damaged in Transit: If an item arrives broken or damaged by the shipping carrier, email [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery.
Required Photo Proof: Include your order number along with clear photographs showing the broken or damaged product, the exterior shipping box, and the packaging materials. (Clear photographs are fully sufficient; we do not require video proof).
Resolution: Upon verifying carrier damage, we will ship a replacement at our expense. If the item is a one-of-a-kind woodcraft or an out-of-stock seasonal food product that cannot be replaced, you may choose between a store credit or a full refund to your original payment method.
5. In-Person Fairs, Pop-Ups & Farmers Markets
All sales completed in person at community vendor booths, craft fairs, pop-ups, and farmers markets are final once you leave our table. Customers are encouraged to inspect jars, seals, woodwork, and stitched goods thoroughly at the counter prior to purchase.
6. Sewing & Alteration Services
Labor & Custom Work: Once fabric has been cut or stitching has begun on an alteration or custom textile project, labor fees are non-refundable.
Fit Adjustments: If an altered garment does not fit as agreed during your fitting or initial measurement, contact us within 7 days of pickup for complimentary adjustments.
Unclaimed Items: Garments or materials left unclaimed for more than 60 days following completion notice will be deemed abandoned and donated or repurposed.
7. Handyman & Property Services
Rescheduling: Residential repairs, maintenance, and carpentry appointments may be rescheduled without penalty by providing at least 24 hours' notice.
Custom Materials & Deposits: Deposits collected for specialized lumber, hardware, or project-specific materials are non-refundable once those materials have been ordered or purchased.
Weather Delays: Exterior carpentry, outdoor maintenance, and pressure washing are weather-dependent. Work delayed by severe rain, storms, or freezing weather will be rescheduled for the earliest safe date.
