Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: September 2026

Welcome to Blossom & Brine™. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern purchases, registrations, memberships, services, and the use of Blossom & Brine™ websites, online general store, digital products, educational materials, Learning Center, virtual classes, community features, and on-site property services.

Throughout these Terms, “Blossom & Brine™,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Blossom & Brine™. “You” and “your” refer to the customer, purchaser, member, student, website visitor, account holder, or client.

By completing a purchase, creating an account, enrolling in a virtual class or membership, accessing digital materials, or hiring our property services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our incorporated policies.

1. Scope of These Terms

These Terms apply to all goods, educational instruction, and services provided by Blossom & Brine™, including:

  1. Purchases made through our website, online general store, and customer portal.

  2. In-person transactions at farmers markets, fairs, craft festivals, and community pop-up events.

  3. Virtual classes, live video instruction, and instant phone and text troubleshooting consultations.

  4. Blossom & Brine™ Learning Center courses, memberships, and digital subscriptions.

  5. Digital downloads, canning elevation guides, instructional booklets, and printable materials.

  6. Handcrafted woodwork, sewn textiles, work aprons, and market tote bags.

  7. Homestead food products and botanical preparations produced under the Tennessee Food Freedom Act.

  8. Residential handyman, carpentry, and property maintenance services.

2. Eligibility & Account Security

You must be at least 18 years of age and legally competent to make purchases, register for accounts, or book services. When creating an account, you agree to provide complete and accurate information. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials. Account access is personal to the registered user; you may not share your login credentials with others to grant unauthorized, unpaid access to courses, digital downloads, or members-only materials.

3. Orders, Pricing & Fulfillment

Submitting an order does not guarantee fulfillment. Blossom & Brine™ reserves the right to decline or cancel an order prior to shipment or delivery due to inventory shortages, pricing or typographical errors, suspected fraud, or shipping carrier constraints. If an order is canceled by Blossom & Brine™ before fulfillment, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method. We reserve the right to limit order quantities on small-batch and seasonal items.

4. Handmade Goods & Natural Variations

Because our woodworking and sewn textiles are handmade individually, each finished piece possesses distinct characteristics:

  1. Wood products feature natural variations in grain, color, knots, and surface character that reflect the authentic timber.

  2. Hand-sewn items feature subtle differences in fabric pattern placement and hand-stitching.

  3. These unique variations are hallmarks of authentic handcrafts and are not considered manufacturing defects.

  4. Colors may appear slightly different in person due to natural lighting and screen display variations.

5. Payments & Billing Descriptors

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars. Applicable sales taxes and shipping rates are calculated and displayed at checkout.

Statement Descriptor: Charges for Blossom & Brine™ purchases will appear on your bank or credit card statement as:

BLOSSOMBRINE or BLOSSOM BRINE

Please review your statements carefully. If you have questions about a charge, please contact us at [email protected] before initiating a payment dispute with your bank.

6. Refunds & Cancellations

All transactions are subject to our return and cancellation terms:

  1. Consumable Products: Due to food safety and hygiene regulations, all sales of food items, herbal preparations, teas, and syrups are final sale and non-returnable once shipped or handed to the customer.

  2. Virtual Classes & Troubleshooting Calls: Registration fees are non-refundable because booking reserves a limited roster spot, grants access to prep lists, and funds fresh demo produce purchased in advance. Ticket transfers are permitted up to 24 hours before class time.

  3. Damaged Shipments: Items broken or damaged in transit must be reported with clear photographs of the item, shipping box, and packaging within 48 hours of delivery to [email protected]. Verified claims will be resolved with a replacement, store credit, or refund.

7. Digital Products & Educational Materials

Purchasing a digital product (e.g., canning reference guides, recipes, digital booklets, instructional videos) grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal, household use only.

Without prior written authorization from Blossom & Brine™, you are strictly prohibited from:

  1. Selling, reselling, or sublicensing our digital files.

  2. Sharing download links, files, or login credentials with unauthorized users.

  3. Uploading our files to shared drives, cloud folders, social media groups, or public websites.

  4. Using our curriculum, written guides, or lesson plans to conduct commercial workshops or paid demonstrations.

  5. Removing copyright notices, watermarks, or trademark designations (™).

8. Sewing Patterns

Blossom & Brine™ sewing patterns and accompanying construction manuals are proprietary works protected by copyright.

  1. Pattern Files: You may not copy, scan, trace, share, or resell the printed or PDF pattern files.

  2. Finished Items: Individual home sewists are welcome to sew and sell small-batch finished physical items made by hand (such as for local craft markets, fairs, or church bazaars), provided items are handmade and not commercially mass-manufactured.

9. Intellectual Property & Trademarks

"Blossom & Brine" and associated logos, trade dress, and brand identifiers are proprietary trademarks of Blossom & Brine™, used continuously in commerce since 1992. All original text, curriculum, photography, videos, and guides are protected under United States copyright and trademark laws. Purchasing a physical or digital product does not convey any intellectual property rights or commercial licenses to the purchaser.

10. Learning Center & Member Conduct

Access to courses and membership areas is licensed exclusively to the enrolled student. We reserve the right to suspend or revoke access without refund if a user:

  1. Shares account credentials to provide unpaid access to third parties.

  2. Screen-records, captures, or redistributes course videos or materials.

  3. Engages in harassment, abusive language, or disruptive conduct toward instructors or students.

  4. Attempts to circumvent platform security or access controls.

11. Memberships & Automatic Renewal

If you enroll in a recurring membership or subscription, the billing amount and frequency are clearly presented at checkout.

  1. By completing enrollment, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until canceled.

  2. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your online account portal.

  3. Cancellation stops future recurring billings. Access continues through the end of the paid billing period.

12. Virtual Classes, Phone Consultations & Kitchen Safety

All Blossom & Brine™ classes, workshops, and troubleshooting calls are conducted remotely online.

  1. Age Requirement: Participants must be at least 18 years old to register. Minors (ages 13–17) may observe or assist only under the continuous supervision of a registered adult parent or guardian. Children under 13 are not permitted to participate in active canning instruction.

  2. Home Kitchen Safety: Participants work in their own homes and assume full responsibility for their personal safety, stoves, burners, boiling water, steam, pressure canners, glassware, and sharp tools.

  3. No Direct Inspection: Because instruction is remote, Blossom & Brine™ cannot inspect your equipment, calibrate dial gauges, test vinegar acidity, or verify final jar seals. You retain sole responsibility for food safety and equipment operation.

13. Food Preservation Disclaimer & Botulism Warning

Blossom & Brine™ teaches traditional, heritage, and Amish food preservation techniques alongside home food safety principles.

  1. Non-USDA Methods: Many traditional methods, processing times, and atmospheric canning recipes we teach are not approved, tested, or recommended by the USDA or extension services.

  2. Assumption of Risk: Improper food preservation can cause severe foodborne illness, including Botulism (Clostridium botulinum), which can cause paralysis or death. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with preparing, consuming, and storing food preserved with traditional methods.

  3. Third-Party Food Claims: You are solely responsible for any food you prepare, store, or serve to third parties. You agree to defend and indemnify Blossom & Brine™ against any third-party claims arising from food you produce.

14. Herbal Preparations & Health Disclaimer

Educational content and botanical products (such as herbal teas, syrups, tinctures, and salves) are provided for general educational and personal enrichment purposes only.

  1. No Medical Advice: Nothing provided by Blossom & Brine™ constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or prescription.

  2. FDA Notice:Statements regarding herbal preparations have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

  3. Always consult a licensed healthcare professional before using herbs, especially if pregnant, nursing, taking medications, or managing chronic conditions.

16. In-Person Fairs, Markets & Pop-Ups

When purchasing goods or attending live demonstrations at farmers markets, craft fairs, or vendor pop-ups, transactions are governed by these Terms and any point-of-sale disclosures posted at our booth. Product inspection should occur at the time of purchase.

17. Shipping & Delivery

Delivery dates provided at checkout are estimates. Blossom & Brine™ is not responsible for transit delays or package mishandling caused by third-party carriers (USPS, UPS) or weather disruptions. Customers are responsible for submitting complete and accurate shipping addresses. We cannot replace packages delivered to an incorrectly provided address or marked "Delivered" by the carrier.

18. Handyman & Property Services

Residential repairs, maintenance, and carpentry performed by Blossom & Brine™ are subject to individual written work orders:

21. Separate Entities & On-Site Farm Visits

While Blossom & Brine™ (educational services, online store, and digital media) and Blossom & Brine Farm (agricultural production and U-Pick operations) share a heritage and brand name, they are independently operated entities. All physical, on-site agricultural activities—including public produce picking, farm stands, and property visits at the physical farm location—are managed exclusively by Blossom & Brine Farm under separate management.

Blossom & Brine™ (the educational and online entity) assumes no liability for personal injury, property damage, or incidents occurring on the physical farm premises. Visitors attending the physical farm assume all inherent risks associated with agricultural premises and agritourism activities.

22. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blossom & Brine™ and its owners shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website, digital products, or remote instruction. Our total liability for any claim arising out of a commercial transaction shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific product or service at issue. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be excluded under Tennessee law.

23. Governing Law, Exclusive Venue & Legal Fees

  1. Tennessee Law: These Terms and all disputes arising from your relationship with Blossom & Brine™ are governed strictly by the laws of the State of Tennessee.

  2. Exclusive Jurisdiction: Any legal action, lawsuit, or dispute must be filed exclusively in the state courts located in Cheatham County, Tennessee, or the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee (Nashville Division).

  3. Attorneys' Fees: If any legal proceeding arises concerning these Terms or our services, the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover all reasonable attorneys’ fees, court costs, and related litigation expenses from the non-prevailing party.

24. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, that specific provision shall be severed, and all remaining provisions shall remain in full legal force and effect. These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, Copyright Notice, and Master Liability Waiver, constitute the entire agreement between you and Blossom & Brine™.
